After finally settling on the qualities of the product and going through the trials and tribulations of the manufacturing process, we were ready and decided to start the ball rolling with a launch night.
15th February 2005 was the date for the launch. Just under 200 people turned up on a snowy evening in east London. We arranged for a few professional keepers to do a demonstration training session with the gloves and have a question and answer section from the potential One glove customers.
From the night we had some great feedback from all levels and ages of goalkeepers, with positive comments about the cut, latex & price.

On the back of the positive response from the launch night we decided to get the glove out on to the market, initially selling through our own online store.
Shortly after the launch several professionals wanted to wear the glove. One of the first was Chris Day, the number one choice of Preston North End. Chris has had a great career playing for several clubs including Tottenham, Crystal Palace, Oldham Athletic and is currently playing at Millwall.
The company had its first TV appearance in the BBC Match of the day live coverage of th FA Cup first round with Chris Day wearing the gloves playing for Oldham against Chase Town FC.

At this point we found ourselves supplying 3 professional keepers and 4 professional academy’s with the One glove. Considering we initially targeted non league keepers we felt we had reason to be pleased with the response we were having for the product.

The next big name to show interest in the gloves was Paul Jones of QPR & Wales.
Within 3 weeks of the company agreeing to sponsor Paul , he was wearing the gloves for Wales against Bulgaria. A great boost for the company!
Paul also wore the One glove playing for Wales recently in a friendly against Brazil which was televised live on Sky Sports.

The One Glove Company is steadily growing with strong sales and is being worn at all different levels of the game. Feedback from regular and potential customers is still very good, we  at the One Glove will continue to strive to bring you better products for goalkeeping at a realistic price.
